I’ve been working on a new drawing of a wildcat kitten from the Highland Wildlife Park. This is Rannoch, who was one of last year’s litter. Now he’s a daddy to kittens born recently.
It was around four days of work and I used coloured pencil, gouache and ink. Pencil works really well for the fur. The background was blurred using the airbrush. And I used masking fluid to keep the whiskers white. It’s a really useful tool for this kind of picture. Peeling the dried stuff off is always satisfying – watch this video to see what I mean.
