Happy New Year! Hope everything is well with you all.
I’m getting organised for the year ahead, including finalising dates for craft fairs with Exclusively Highlands. Hopefully I’ll be at places new and familiar in 2020. I’ll update my calendar when everything is confirmed.
But one event I will be at this month is the Aviemore Sled Dog Rally on January 25-26. I had a stall at Glenmore for the first time last January and it was a great day (if a little chilly!). This year will be just as good, with more than 1,000 dogs signed up for the races.
This is the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain’s biggest sled dog racing event. More than 1,000 dogs and 250 mushers will take part, racing in teams of between two and eight animals. They race around around the Loch Morlich tracks
Fingers crossed for a bit of snow but even if the ground isn’t white, this will be a fantastic winter spectacle.
