I’ve had a peaceful start to 2020 and have been organising and restocking for the year ahead. The husky event was great fun as usual but now I can confirm a fair few more craft fairs for the coming months.
I’m signed up for events throughout Inverness-shire and Aberdeenshire so far and will be adding more dates soon. As usual, there’s a fair few Exclusively Highlands events, including first visits to Garioch. And I’ll be at the Highland Field Sports Fair at Moy in the summer.
One event I am definitely excited for is the Portsoy Boat Festival, in June. This celebrates traditional boat building and sailing. I visited a few years ago (which is where these pictures were taken) and it’s a great weekend away. The fishing village is transformed for the weekend and hosts boat races, craft demonstrations and a food fair. More than 16,000 people are expected this year. It’s my first time as a stallholder and I can’t wait.

Meanwhile, I’ve got some restocking to do, among lots of other projects. And there’s a couple of paintings on the go and I hope to share them when I get finished.
