As you know, all of my summer events were cancelled because of the pandemic. It was disappointing – I had a busy July and August lined up and was really looking forward to trips to Portsoy Boat Festival, Garioch Heritage Centre and Piping Inverness. Equally the impact on local events was hard to see, including Carve Carrbridge and Motormania in Grantown-on-Spey. I hope everyone will be back next year better than ever.
There is some good news though. The Exclusively Highlands team has organised a special one day event at an outdoor venue on the Black Isle, as a tentative return to craft fairs.
The open air market at Wildwoodz, near Munlochy, will feature a selection of craft and food stalls on August 2, from 11am-3pm. Parking and entry will be free.
It’s normally a paintball, lasertag and archery venue so this could be a really interesting event!
Hope to see some familiar faces there and fingers crossed that some more events can take place later in the year.
